Timmy's not wrong. Perhaps the teacher should have specified 'baubles'...
Season’s greetings Addictees!
Our bells are jingling, our shiny balls, ah, sorry, baubles, are hanging and here we are, the last blog of 2020.
As much as this year has been as enjoyable as a colony of fire ants trapped in our undies, we hope your year has had way more positives than blah. In keeping with tradition, we’re going to share some of our positives with you now.
Welcome to the final art fix of 2020.
G'day Lara Scolari!
We met the Australian abstract expressionist artist at last year’s Affordable Art Fair in Singapore and it was love at first sight. We said “Hi”. She said “Hi”. We said “Love your work”. She said “Want to be my gallery?” We went on a date, had some Chinese food, said our vows and here we are. Wham! Bam! Thank you, mam!
We got an intern.
He got therapy.
And that’s why we can’t have nice things.
Toilet paper. SO MUCH TOILET PAPER!
Hello Samantha Redfern!
Samantha draws inspiration from her surroundings. Living in the affectionately dubbed “Garden City”, her work is her own abstract take on the buildings and the lush, tropical greenery of Singapore. Using a combination of gestural, impulsive movements, layering and detailed work, Samantha has a style that is all her own.
Marḥaba Rasha Eleyan!
Rasha brought Roger Rabbit, pop art and Palestine to our door and that's how we became the "Love Cup" to her "Honey Bunny". Google it.
Hallo Skye Brothers!
Our first virtual exhibition of the year featured the bros of abstraction and was filled with Hidden Messages. Do you see what I see? 👀
Ola Ale Osollo!
We love the way Ale pushes the boundaries with materials, and the way she brings her fantasy world to life.
Until Ale, we thought Chihuahua was just a dog and not a place. Now we know.
Konichiwa Taketo Kobayashi (aka Humanoise)!
In August, Taketo introduced us to the world of 3D printed art toys, the concept of animism and Japanese subculture. We felt really cool 😎
Good news! Unlike most of your Christmas presents this year, these toys do not require batteries.
Bonjour Anthea Missy!
Anthea brought us all the lovers in her Rainbow Lovers series 💗💗💗
“My Rainbow Lovers series is a reminder that moments happen only once. It is about the important things in life which we have moved away from, and of our mission to bring together all the elements within and around us to make us whole again.” ~ Anthea Missy
Selamat tengah hari Tunku Khalsom!
October saw Khalsom and all her little pricks (her words, and something you'll understand when you buy one of her delicious butterfly artworks) enter our lives 🦋
Following the success of last year’s #INYAFACE exhibition, we did it again. The virtual show runs until December 31. Check it out!
Also, we turned 5 🥳

We’re still about during the festive season so don’t be shy if you'd like to contact us for any arty goodness.
In the meantime, be safe and stay well. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a 2021 that hasn't been written by Stephen King.
Thanks for sticking with us for another year 💗
Until the next one, "I'm setting your beard on fire," she said...
